Dr. Jennifer Shapiro has been working with disordered eating and weight control and has been leading behavioral weight control groups since 1999. She works with patients both individually and in group settings who struggle with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and also for weight loss. She has developed groups specifically for women with Fibromyalgia (a rheumatic illness with symptoms of pain and fatigue) to help them lose weight, which ultimately reduced their pain and fatigue associated with their Fibromyalgia.
